Winter and summer hours

The Patronato's visit page gives the two seasons without saying which year they apply to, and the shop confirms the clearing times. Winter runs from 1 October to 31 March and summer from 1 April to 30 September. On 23 October 2026 the winter hours applied: 9:30 to 17:00, with the clearing of the grounds from 17:45.

One page on Tiqets shows 9:30 to 17:00 all year, without the summer hours. We follow the Patronato, which is the official source.

Last entry and time slots

The Patronato does not publish a last entry. Entry is by time slots of 30 minutes with limited capacity, and you must respect the time on your ticket. The last slot you can buy is visible in the shop when you choose a date.

Everyone needs a slot, whoever sold the ticket, so plan your visit around the time printed on it.

The Cuarto Real Alto timing

The time on a Cuarto Real Alto ticket is the time you reach the door of the upper floor. For the security checks you enter the monument by the Puerta del León from 60 minutes before, and until 30 minutes after the time indicated, and you must be at the door of the Cuarto 15 minutes before. If you are late you cannot enter and must buy another ticket, according to the shop. The frequency of the sessions is not published, because the calendar is dynamic.

The free Monday visit

The official shop lists a product called Free Monday - Visit to the Royal Alcázar, at no charge. It showed as sold out on 23 October 2026. The ordinance provides for free public visits on days and times set by the Patronato's executive commission, but the official site does not publish them.

Some other websites give a one-hour window late in the afternoon on Mondays. We could not confirm it on the official site, so do not plan your trip around it: look at the shop for the dates it offers.

Evenings and night events in 2026

In 2026 the Noches en los Jardines opened the gardens from 21:00 to 22:25, with 63 concerts from June to September, at 7 € a ticket. The shop also sold theatrical night visits in 2026 at 15 €, sold out on 23 October 2026. These are 2026 facts: we do not know the programme for 2027.

A claim that the Alcázar is open at night from March to October appears on Tiqets, but we did not find it on the official site.
